Run Silent, Run Deep!
Holy Cow! 30 THOUSAND gallons out of my pool in just over 11 hours! Here are the details; First, when I got the pump I was a little concerned because the box was pretty dented in on one corner, but the contents of the package were perfect. The included 25 foot 1 1/2" hose was really good sturdy quality and obviously reinforced with some kind of cords molded into the plastic. It came with clamps to attach it to the pump too.My pool is 8 1/2' deep and the fact that this pump has a 25' electrical cord made it safer to tie a rope to it and lower it off the diving board without worrying that the plug would get pulled into the water. I needed to pump the water 110 feet to the drain and up over a 6 foot tall block wall. I bought some couplers, clamps and extra hose at the local big box store and used a length of semi-rigid pool vacuum hose to get over the wall. The hose I bought wasn't anywhere near as nice as the piece that came with the pump, so I used that as the "header" up and out of the pool onto the deck and extended it with the cheaper hoses from there. When I plugged in the pump, it didn't have the volume I expected until I cut the smaller part of the discharge fitting (adapter) off and left only the large part that the hose clamps to.Then I restarted the pump and it quickly swelled up all 110' of discharge hose and issued a fat stream of water out of the end into the drain. In about 11 hours the pool was empty and the pump shut off by itself when the float dropped down.My pool store wanted $1500 to drain my pool and pressure wash and chlorine rinse the surface and refill and balance the water. I did the whole job for just under $300 including the extra hose and all the chemicals and this pump made it possible. I also used it to pump out all the pressure washer water and the chlorine wash and rinse water. Although I expect that it will work great next time I need it, even if it never runs again, I am WAY ahead of the game. This was a terrific bargain. There are other vendors that sell a pump that looks just like this on Amazon for less money, but those don't come with that heavy duty discharge hose and clamps, so I think the extra few dollars were way worth it. Just make sure to use a nice heavy extension cord keeping it as short as possible if you need to go more than the 25 feet that come on the pump.

Freakin Awesome Pump
This sub-pump works awesome. It is very quick. Easy to assemble and drop it in. I recommend using another rope, tied to the handle, to lower the unit in the pool. Do not use the power cord as the “rope”. You will eventually pull the power cable from the unit.

Works as advertised
Works great, took very little time to drain my hot tub. The only thing to be aware of is that your not going to get all the water out with it. There will be some left in the bottom that you will need to drain either with the drain plug or a shop vac, but this pump really speeds the process up.

If you want to remove a high volume of water fast - this sump pump is a BEAST!
Good: Purchased and used to clean out a large swim spa yesterday. Extremely happy with the volume of water it cleared out - 2K+ gallons in less than 1 hour.Bad: Unit turns off easily when there is any air in theUgly: I could only drain the swim spa down to approximately 3 inches in water depth. I had to purchase Wayne WaterBug to clear out the rest of the water.https://www.amazon.com/WWB-WaterBUG-Submersible-Multi-Flo-Technology/dp/B018LRUDUU/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1JUKYIGZTRJWA&dchild=1&keywords=wayne+water+pump&qid=1594141067&sprefix=wayne+water+%2Caps%2C189&sr=8-3Twelve months ago, I used the Wayne Waterbug to clear out the swim spa, but it took me approximately 12+ hours to fully drain the swim spa. It was painfully too long. While I was looking for one sump pump to do the entire job, I've come to the conclusion the best combo to efficiently clear out a swim spa or pool is the EZ Travel Collection, Hot Tub and Swimming Pool Drain Pump + Wayne WaterBug.

Doesn't work
I purchased this product before I needed it. Unfortunately, I tried to use it today for the first time. Doesn't work at all. The return window is long gone. Waste of money.

Works Great!!
I purchased this to drain (most of) my 11,000 gallon pool. It took about 4.5 hours, which is pretty awesome in my book. I am very impressed with the pump, it was easy to set up and get going. The only problem I had, which isn’t the any fault of the pump, was the discharge line. I ended up needing an additional 50 foot roll to make it to a point on my driveway that it would flow to the street. I would have preferred to put the water in a cleanout, but when I tried, the sheer volume of the pump was too much for it. I definitely recommend purchasing this pump if you intend to drain your pool.

Little POWERHOUSE!
A WONDERFUL VALUE for the money! -- Yes, I know.....it's a PUMP. plain and simple...and because of it's size, it DOES take a while for it to pump out your pool, but it INSTANTLY is a workhorse. VERY easy to use, I will have this for YEARS, and it was a great investment for what used to be a bit of a chore and expense. DIY folks....buy this little powerhouse pump. No need to hire a company, or truck to haul water away. Five Stars. (I have an 18,000 gal. pool, and collectively, it took about 24 hours to drain it all.....with absolutely no problem)

The good and Bad
I am pleased with this item, but Amazon is not good to deal with when trying to return a defective item they expect you to pay for the return. Which is truly wrong on their part, and the seller's. Referring to a 3 and 1 professional Steamer I order that I didn't get instead they sent the Steamer only which I tried it doesn't work properly at all.
