When exhaust or air filter changes are made to a fuel injected bike a tune or remap is required to insure that the bike will maintain fuel economy, performance, and engine safety. If these changes are not made you risk running too lean or too rich which can potentially can cause engine issues. Bikes come from the factory with air/fuel mixture settings that were set for stock pipes. When you change the pipes and filter the stock settings are no longer appropriate. Installing a fuel manager allows you to easily reconfigure the bikes fuel system so that it will run at peak efficiency and maintain an even air/fuel mixture across the rpm range. The TAB fuel manager was designed to be a plug-and-play unit that could be installed at home in less than one hour. We wanted a complete exhaust package that is a do-it-yourself installation. Within 2 hours you can have your pipes, air filter, and fuel manager installed and ready to ride. The unit was designed specifically for the TAB Pipes however it can be used with any manufacturer's pipes. The fuel tuner is pre-programmed with 10 custom maps for all of the TAB Pipes. There is a pot or dial with 10 settings; turn the dial to the corresponding number that matches your bike and pipes (instructions have descriptions) and then install the unit. Installation is easy: plug the unit into the bikes 2 fuel injection plugs, install one wire tap, and then ground unit to bike. For those who like to tweak your bikes, the unit has 3 (low-med-high) air/fuel pots that allow you to fine tune your bike.
