I still think the item is a good buy, but disappointed in the mounting materials supplied.
Works as basically expected, but disappointed in the mounting materials supplied. Followed the instructions thoroughly, but unit fell of after one days usage. I abandoned the mounting materials and just used Super Glue to mount the unit to my laptop. Works fine now, but if I would ever have reason to remove the unit from my laptop, that could be a problem. I still think the item is a good buy.

Not strong enough
It looks pretty good, seems to be quality construction. The only problem is that doesn't work. The magnets are not strong enough to hold my phone, it slides right off. I have a fairly large phone, it's an LG Fiesta, so I tried my wife's Samsung Galaxy S6 and it also slid right off.The reason I bought this is because I already had a similar product that slides onto the air vents in my car and holds my phone with magnets, and it works really well with both my wife's phone and mine! I thought it would be great to have these magnet mounts wherever I want my phone to be, but apparently they're not all made with the same magnet strength.I'm going to try modifying my case so the metal plate is on the outside and see if that gives it a strong enough contact with the magnets to hold it, because the mount is already stuck to my laptop and I might as well try something, but it's going to look terrible.UPDATE: I attached the metal plate to the back of my phone and it holds just fine now, but my phone looks awful. I've added a star to my review because it's at least workable.

Great Product - Well Built - Easy to Use - Holds Phone Securely - Easy to Attach
I'm impressed with this product. It is well built. It's the real deal!It securely connects to my computer and it securely holds my phone.It's nice to have my phone held in the same place where I can easily see my incoming messages. It prevents me from searching for my phone in my office.The hinge holds at whatever angle you position it at - and it easily folds behind my computer when I want it hidden away.I was able to easily move it between computers by simply replacing the piece of 2-sided tape that connects to the computer.All in all a great product - I highly recommend.

Works great out of the box. Doesn't hold securely with larger Samsung phones. Adhesive fails too easily on hot days.
It worked really well out of the box, got the job done, I was really happy. Unfortunately, after just a few months of use, we were hit by the first heatwave of the summer, the internal room temperature reached 80F, and the adhesive failed. Also I use a fairly large Samsung Galaxy phone, and was assured the clip was designed for it. However, the magnets would sometimes fail on my phone after clipping it for some reason.Overall, the first month of use was great, but after just a few months and one hot July 4th weekend, it's worthless at a monitor clip. I've now refashioned it as a desktop mount by turning it sideways, and wedging the base under a monitor stand. Not ideal, but it is what it is.

Versatile Use Phone Holder, Kitchen and Monitor, and anywhere else you need one
This product worked very well. I had been looking for a way to hold my phone while cooking without my phone taking up space on my counter and risk getting ingredients on it.I mounted the holder underneath my kitchen cabinets. It folds nicely out of the way and then I can open it to hold my phone for recipes, music, watching shows, etc.It worked for both my iPhone 6s in a Speck case, and it held my husbands Droid Ultra without even adding the metal plate, although his was not in a case. It worked with the case as well, but the plate was needed.

Biggest disappointment of anything i have ordered on Amazon
Well folks, What can i say? Biggest disappointment of anything i have ordered on Amazon. The concept is perfect.Unfortunately the manufacturer doesnt make strong enough magnets for it to work. Phone kept falling off.Such a major let down, since im on the phone all day and it would have been awesome if it worked..oh well...

I absolutely love this holder
I absolutely love this holder! It securely supports my cell phone, tablet, etc. The holder has increased my productivity as I am able to view incoming messages and phone calls without having to stop working on the task at hand to check my device. Extremely thankful I found this product and I am looking to purchase a few more for friends and family! Great product.

Just the best.
Wow just the best, i been using my laptop for streaming and if u dont have a second monitor for Chat this is exactly what u need! This is the best option u have!. By the way... once u add the magnetic attachment to ur cellphone this it wont be able to charge wirelessly (!) Unless u have an extra case for ur cellphone. 5 stars on this.
