Overall decent quality and would recommend
I found the build quality to be decent for a "knock-off" of the real thing. The visible green LEDs are very bright and the white strobe function works well. Looking through a PVS-14, the steady IR light is fairly bright. The IR strobe feature is more of a slow "blink" and not a quick strobe like the visible light. So far, this product seems to do what I intend it to do. It's definitely not a $300 Hel-Star. However, for the price point, it suits my needs just fine. I would recommend this to anyone that needs IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) for airsoft, LARPing, hiking, or whatever.

Perfect airsoft dead light
Got the red model for a dead light on my helmet for Airsoft, the Velcro is quite strong and even with a low quality rechargeable battery it lights and flashes brightly for a really long time and plenty bright enough to be noticed. I have also mounted this to a Velcro patch on my chest rig and backpack. Where everyone else I know has lost a dead light (or two) This has never came off of my rig. I would prefer the battery compartment to be accessible without a screwdriver but instead have a screw I can undo with my thumb to lessen the amount of tools I need to carry on me to big airsoft games.

great strobe, just dont leave it on IR
This strobe works great. It fits perfectly on the top of my HHV Helmet all three modes work great. Both red light and IR strobe are extremely bright and offer great illumination for making sure you have no blue on blue accidents. Highly recommend. At its price point id say its worth every penny. Make sure when storing you switch the selector to a visible light setting so you can ensure it is off. I left it on IR when storing and hadn't got the on off switch flipped all the way off and the battery was dead when i pulled it out again.

Good alternative to the HELSTAR
After slamming my head into things with this in my head, the super light little light has great durability! It’s water resistant upto one meter, the battery last ages if you’re disciplined with it & it’s visible from a ways away. it’s easy to install, easy to use & easy to manage.

The parasitic battery drain is real
I use this pretty frequently and have a few complaints. This may sound crazy, but the thing is just too bright. In the visible light mode, the strobe blinds the people around me to the point I had to put 3 layers of masking tape over the lights just so everyone can see what's going on around me. Under NODs the IR setting is a good level of brightness, or so I'm told. This thing eats through batteries, and be sure to take the battery out when not in use because it will DRAIN that baby so fast. At first I thought I had left the IR setting on, but I did an experiment after replacing and verified the IR setting wasn't on and it drained the battery in less than 24 hours. Could have a lemon but another guy who has one in my group experienced similar results. The nice part is that this takes CR123A batteries, the same as my Night Vision unit, so I always have batteries on hand for this hungry beast. The battery door is a flat head screw and you should always have a Leatherman on you anyways, so taking the battery in and out isn't too terrible. It has just become part of my final equipment deactivation when I remove the battery from my NODs. Its cheap, but... it's cheap

Shock and Awe
It’s better than I thought it would be. Easy to use. Familiar function and quality, IR is bright with nods and not some dim red light like other “IR” lights. Great product for training.
