Speck Products iGuy Protective Case for iPad mini - Grape Purple for iPad mini 3, 2, 1 (72014-B102)

This is by far the most durable and protective case for an iPad and is ideal for kids. We have a purchased a regular iPad size in green and in blue, a blue mini and now this yellow mini one as a present. The first one we both was the large blue one and it lasted about a year because we took the iPad in and out of it too many times and it got kind of enlarged a bit. But my they 2 year old boy would drop the iPad from the TOP of the stare case many times and not a single scratch would happen. He is now 4 years old and his iPad is like new. He is using the Green large case and it is in great shape because we only take the iPad out once in a while to wipe it clean from juice or milk spills. My second has an iPad mini and his blue case is 1.5 years old and is like new. The handles (arms) are ideal for my boys to take it around. I use their iPads some times in the kitchen for precipices and for apps workouts and this case serves me well too.

This is the second of these cases that I've purchased and I find them to be really good value.Usage: Protect 6 year old's iPad miniPositives:- Case is attractive to children (at least to mine)- Deep enough ipad can be dropped on it's face without scratching or damaging the screen- Overall padding is thick enough to protect ipad when dropped from any reasonable height (table top, or generally from the arm height of an "in-motion" 6 year old- Easy to put iPad in and out of the case- "Arms" make case easy to holdCons:- After about 1.5 years of continuous use (abuse?) case was getting worn, arms were starting to tear (hence the replacement)- Thick protection can make it difficult to plug in the charging cordAt the end of the day the cons relatively insignificant. Overall this is a terrific iPad case for children and I recommend without reservation.

I bought this product because my 2yr old loves to use our iPad mini to watch Disney shows on it. We had an iPad 2 before this thatshe dropped and crackled and so I needed something that would be easy for her to hold and also cover and take care of the iPad. This product does just that. It fits completely around the corners and protects any dropping. The one thing I can say we did not like (although it goes away after a few days) is that "new smell". It was bad when you open the package but in a few days went away. Ths handles seem flimsy but they are actually very durable. She has bent, pulled, bit, on them and they are still in great shape. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for something easy to hold and durable to keep you iPad safe!

I have a two and a half year old....'nuff said, right? Lol. We had other covers that made me cringe every time my little man moved while near my iPad mini....not the case now. Truth be told, if I didn't have a crazy toddler I'd still love this thing!! It's just comfortable....it is a soft rubbery feel, it props the mini nicely on a surface for watching movies in the car or couch, wherever it may be. My little man handles the mini much easier and with care with the iGuy. It has dropped several times (aghhh!) and survived with no injury or scratches. I like that the mini is actually set into the iGuy, there is a little rim of the rubber that protects it. My son uses headphones with it on occasion and we charge it right in the iGuy, accessing plugs and ports is not an issue. We're extremely pleased with the rugged durability and would not hesitate to purchase it again. I would suggest grabbing a screen protector just for added safety. We purchased through Amazon shipping, and as usual it arrived extremely fast.

I bought this for my daughters iPad mini that she got for xmas and we've used it pretty much everyday since including two 5 hour long road trips to and from the grandparents house. At first I wasn't sure what to make of it. It's big and I wondered if it wouldn't be too cumbersome for practical use. Let me tell you that those fears were not warranted. For a child it's ideal. It's thick soft rubber is extremely protective against accidental drops, bangs or clangs and it's little arms are perfect for little hands to hold on to. It sits nicely in her lap while in the car or can easily be hung off the back of the front seat (i used a 99¢ bungee). Out of the package it does have a strong rubbery odour as many plastics do but that went away fairly quickly. Some people have mentioned that it doesn't stand up on it's own very well and I guess that could be true. Ours will stand up on it's own but anything that is mass machine produced is going to have imperfections and I can see how some might stand better than others. It really doesn't matter in our case because my daughter likes to hold it while using it or set in on a pillow in her lap.Great product and was exactly what we needed.

This is a great case for the iPad mini to protect it from the little ones. It's cute and yet appears to be strong enough to take a beating without damaging the iPad mini. I was a bit concerned about whether the iPad could fall out of the case, but thankfully, it fits into the case very nicely and tight. My 3 year old and 1 year old each carry the iPad mini, grabbing it by one of the handles, and there were no issues what-so-ever.I give it 4 fours stars for 3 reasons: (1) The charging port is a little difficult to get to because it's directly under the right handle. It's a minor inconvenience. (2) The right side of the case is a tiny bit wide, and it (barely) covers the home button. This doesn't affect the accessibility or the function of the home button at all, but it's still something that I noticed. (3) The legs of the case are thicker than the rest of the case, which allows the case to stand up. But it's not all that stable. Plus, this has the unfortunate consequence of putting the iPad mini on a decline when you lay it flat on a surface. Again, this is another minor inconveniences, but not major flaws in my opinion.Aside from these three minor complaints, I really like this case. And so do my kids.

Ohne diesen Bumpper wäre der Ipad schon hundert mal kaputt gegangen. Er schützt super und sieht auch noch cool dazu aus. Sehr praktisch sind die hände zum festhalten. Also ich bin froh das ich es in einem geschäft gesehen hab sonst hätte ich nicht gewusst dass es das überhaupt zu kaufen gibt.dort war die gewünschte Farbe leider nicht vorrätig bei Amazon zum Glück schon.

a los niños les gusta mucho su funda. Se sujeta en pie para per dibujos y lo llevan arriba y abajo sin problema. Protege muy bien al dispositivo.Quizás la única pega es que el botón "home" queda un poco escondido y si quieres hacer slide desde la parte superior (para ver las notificaciones) o desde la inferior (para que aparezca el menú del "modo avión", "bluetooth", etc.) no es muy práctico porque la "ventana" de la funda va muy al límite del tamaño de la pantalla.

Todavía me asombro lo que aguanta la funda, Si ha pasado por las manos de mi hija de 3 años y sigue vivo (la funda y el ipad mini) es que esta muy bien hecho.

I have an autistic child and a child who is a destructive force of nature. This case keeps our mini Ipad safe from both! The stubby legs keep it standing securely, so they can listen to music or watch Netflix etc. without having to hold it, The handles are AMAZING, less strain on their hands/wrists, makes a great steering wheel type grip when playing in video game mode, and a perfect handle when walking and carrying it (or running and screaming with it, as the case may be). It was a tight squeeze to get on at first but it isn't difficult to hook up the charging cord. LOVE that it has all ports and switches and camera lenses uncovered! (unlike my Ipad cover that I I have to remove and put back on constantly.) Nothing I can say that I would change about this case.
