Q: what does this smell like?

It has a fresh smell coming out of the bottle but when it’s on your skin it smells like a self tanner which (to me) smells like maple syrup.

Q: Does this have a red or green undertone?

It has a green undertone so that it won't turn orange on the skin.

Q: Do you need to exfoliate every time you are applying this after the first time?

I did not exfoliate again if I reapplied within the next day or so to deepen color, however I did exfoliate again before reapplying a week later.
