Fantasia Materials: 1 lb Chamki Ruby Rough Stones from India

These came in today and i was very pleased. I got 2 smaller ones and a good size one. They all have great color. Fantasia mining is a great company i will continue to order from them.

I received a bag of about 20 rocks that look exactly like what is pictured. After scrubbing them with dish soap and a tooth brush, quite a bit of red and purple could be seen. If you then put them under a black light, the ruby will glow blood red and the purple rock takes on a bluish purple glow. I was very pleased with the size of the sample and working on clearing the matrix of other stone that surrounds most pieces, revealing even more color in these stones. Will definitely order this again, and other gem samples this company offers.

These are nice for tumbling. My kid enjoys the colors of the minerals we got, pinks, purples, greens, oranges!

I have been tumbling these in coarse grit for three weeks now. Others had posted on here and other places about corundum taking a long time to tumble because it's so hard. After one week, I didn't really have anything to show except spent grit and mud. After two weeks, it was more of the same, but the smaller pieces that I were in the mix had cleaned up nicely. I'm on the tail end of the third week of tumbling with coarse grit and I expect that I'll have revealed more of the quality in this rough.

Good solid pieces. A few rather large pieces and lots of quality med. size stones. Will work perfectly for my projects.

These are incredibly beautiful. The rock is very dense and certain pieces when held up to the light glow red. I would buy these again.
