Q: Is there a left-handed version or is it possible to make a left-handed version with the same parts?

Yes it does. It includes enough to build the hand and more, just in case any of them become broken or lost.

Q: Keys - the instructions indicate that there are multiple different auxiliary keys to help build the project. We could only find one?

The auxiliary key is needed in models where small parts are used. Q: Hello.. would this be too big to fit the hand of my 6 year old? (Of course I would assemble it.)

Be prepared for a tough assembly. My 12 year old loves it. There are holes that their fingers go into to pull the mechanism. It should fit a smaller hand, might be a little stretch at first but your 6 yo will definitely grow with it.
