Quality, Easy to use, Recommended.
I've been using this HDMI Switch for a good couple of months now and I love it. I really like the auto-sourcing feature. I haven't noticed any input lag, any audio lag or any picture quality degradation. I use it to switch (no pun intended) between my Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS3 and Wii U and have never had an issue. Great quality product as far as I've experienced!Additionally, longevity is important. I bought this in November 2017, posted the first part of this review (above) in February 2018. It is now June 2018 and the unit still works great after a good 6-7 months. So many of these types of devices receive negative reveiws for not lasting that long. Personal experience, this thing is still alive and firing on all cylinders and that's worth mentioning as you do want your $50 investment to last as long as possible. Now, admittedly, 7 months isn't all that long in the grand scope....but some other devices like these some are reporting don't even last them 3 months. I use mine regularly and have been for the past 7 months and no issues to report on my end. Still as quality and reliable of a product as it was during my first review. My only issue is that I need another one! Too many devices....June 2018, I purchased a second 5x1 Awakelion HDMI switch for my setup. I have 8 HDMI devices in my setup right now so 1 5x1 wasn't enough. I have both of them in use - the first on HDMI1 on my TV and the second on HDMI2 since my TV unfortunately only has 2 HDMI ports. The second works just as well as the first one has for several months - and the nice thing is both can be controlled with a single remote rather than requiring two - one for each unit. I highly recommend this product - buying two of them should speak for something!July 2019,I purchased 2 of these - one in 2017 and one in 2018. It is now well into 2019 and both are still incorporated into my setup and both are working flawlessly. I have since adapted even more HDMI devices and I have pretty much all 10 ports between the two switches being used and all works great. I do not use the Switch for 4K pass-through, I bypass and go directly into my 4K TV from my Xbox One X for 4K quality so I cannot say either way whether 4K is good through the switch or not, though other reviews are saying it works just fine. As for build quality and longevity, the $100 I paid between the 2 switches was very well spent and I can't recommend this product enough. Now almost 2 years later since I bought my first one and it's still trucking along just fine.

Handles 4K @60hz beautifully!
I am a compulsive searcher when it comes to electronics. The other switches I have seen are either too small for my needs or are extremely cheap looking and feeling.Design:This is a plain looking switch honestly. Black and brown exterior with green lights to show the active input. The real showstopper here is that this thing is metal inside and out. Not a cheap plastic shell. Plus all the plugs go into the back of the device which is very nice.Functionality:This device works very well and is incredibly easy to configure. If you have a Logitech Harmony remote then you can use it to sync with this device. The only feature I am not a fan of is the automatic switching but you can stop that by not using the power cord. An interesting feature that you do not commonly see on switches is the power button. If you desire you can completely power down the device. The remote is barebones but completely functional and strong. The company also sent me one after I had lost my original which was incredibly nice. One note on functionality is that I did have my original die on me a couple weeks ago. However Awakelion sent me a new one asap. I believe a bad HDMI cable contributed to that so I do not blame the device. All the connections are USB 2.0 as promised and support DHCP 2.2 so there is no chance a device will not cooperate. I have purchased many switches over the years but this is the one I will stick with from now on. Thank you Awakelion!

Still No Success with Directv 4k mini, PS4 and Vizio E65-F1 4K TV with 50ft hdmi and hdmi repeater
Mine works good with everything but my PS4 it worked well with my Directv 4K mini .My system is connected with a 50 ft hdmi. I had to install a signal booster but when I’m using my PS4 it makes my TV turn off like clockwork every 10mins I tried to turn off every setting I could fine that had something to do with the video to see what works. No Luck on my end. If I bypass the splitter it works fine. Then I remember I had my old spiltter hooked that up and problem gone but old spiltter is not 4K so I had to try and order a different 4K spiltter.(update 1/24/2019)I am still experiencing the same problem as stated before. My setup includes a Vizio E65-F1 4K HDR smart Tv 50 foot HDMI cable and HDMI signal booster Directv genie mini 4K, Apple TV non 4K and PS4. I’ve noticed if I bypass the hdmi switch the problem is non existence but when I connected it back that’s when I start to have the problem. I convince maybe I have a bad unit and need a replacement. I’ve tried ordering a different brand of 4K switch but that didn’t work at all. Once I remove the 4K switch I don’t have those problems any more or if I try a non 4K switch it don’t happen either. So i know that I can get 4k without any interruptions if I bypass this switch so its not the 5o ft hdmi and hdmi repeater.

Perfect for multimedia techies like myself
I have not been able to test the 4K yet, as I do not have a 4K TV.However, this neat little box works wonders with boring old 1080P. The box itself is made out of metal and is pretty heavy for its size, though that’s a good thing as it won’t slide around too much on your media Consol set up.You can easily swap between the five inputs with the push of a button, and it also comes with a remote that can change the inputs directly. Both work great, so it’s good to know everything will still work when you inevitably lose the remote.there is also a power button and I’m not sure why…? Like I’m not sure what purpose it has because it’s always plugged in regardless, so I just leave it on all the time.I have the following gadgets plugged in: a 4K Apple TV, 4K Blu-ray player, Nintendo Switch, SNES classic, And the last port is shared by my WiiU and Xbox one. Everything works perfect.Interesting note: if one of the devices HDMI is unplugged ( from the device itself), the input will automatically switch to input 1. Since I unplug my Xbox one and WiiU from time to time to swap the hdmi to the other device, because I have it on and put five, I will then have to click the input button four times, or click button 5 on the remote to switch it back.
