Q: This mailbox seems overly large.. is it!? Is it too big?

It's big enough for large magazines and still close. I get a lot of mail and I like the size so my mail is completely covered. It's not too big for me but it's definitely bigger than a standard mailbox

Q: Is this mailbox usps approved? i want to install it on my front door. must a mailbox meet certain usps qualifications?

I don't see anything about it being approved. Google is your friend. I didn't find anything about house front mail box USPS policies. Only curb-side mailboxes. I doubt your mailman is going to look for an approval sticker. He/She just puts the mail and goes on to the next house. I have this mailbox and they put mail in it every time without question.

Q: how do you install ? There are only two holes on the back not 4 like pictured ! There are only 2 screws, 2 wall anchors and 2 Spacers, explain !

You drill two holes (that match the back of the box), into the wall. Those should be the size of the anchor. Then are you calling the washers spacers? The washers go onto the screws and then into the anchors, through the back pf the box and tighten them up.
