Can i use more than one sensor on different tanks? i have two tanks in my camper and i would like to put oner on my bbq and one on an outdoor heater.

If you mean to use one sensor on two different tanks - yes you can. But, if they're different sizes you'll need to edit the profile of the sensor every time you move it. If you're asking if can you have more than one sensor in use, then the answer is still yes. I have four sensors, two are on my RV (30 lb tanks) and two are on my generator (20 lb tanks). I've used the standard and the pro check models and much prefer the pro check.

How strong is the Magnetic strength, will it fall off the bottom of my rvs tank?

I have had these sensors for about five years and they have never fallen off any of my tanks, they should hold very well

Yes, this sensor will work on a horizontally mounted 40lb tank. You would mount it on the bottom, at the very center of the tank.
