Gold Lust Repair & Restore Conditioner

Have gone to an Oribe-affiliated salon for years and for a long time poo-pooed purchasing the products simply because of the sky-high price point. I was already using "good" shampoo-conditioner (R + Co) which, while plenty pricey itself, still seemed almost like a bargain compared to the Oribe. One Christmas, I finally cracked during a good promotion and, man, quickly I admitted I was wrong—this stuff really is the best. My hair has never been softer, shinier, or easier to style. It also smells great, with a scent that never overwhelms, but does last, and I think it's kept my fine but often dry hair both a lot healthier, and feeling thicker than it ever did on any other project regime. The price still stings, but the 1 L bottles last a long, long time. Even with daily washes I probably only go through 2 to 2-1/2 bottles per year. The pump dispensers are great and easy to use and the packaging does feel/look luxe which isn't essential, but adds to the overall "treat 'yo self" feel. Have tried other high-end shampoos and conditioners and always come back to the Oribe, with the Gold Lust line being my absolute go-to. Can't say enough good things. If you're on the fence, like I was for so long, give it a try and see if you're also convinced the ridiculously high price, which still does feel silly, is, at least relatively speaking, worth it. Keep an eye out for holiday and other promotions, that make the sticker shock just a bit less shocking.

Best shampoo and conditioner brand. I wish it wasn’t as expensive as it is, but the smell, softness of my hair after using is worth the money.

I am constantly bleaching my hair, and this conditioner makes my hair look and feel incredible! Living in a fairly dry climate wreaks havoc on my already dry locks. The formula seems like it’s too thin to really moisturize and detangle. Don’t let the consistency fool you! It is intensely moisturizing without weighing down my hair. The result is the shiniest, softest hair I’ve had in decades! I know it’s expensive, but a little goes a long way. It spreads throughout hair super easily and immediately detangles. I cannot stop touching my hair and running my hands through my hair because it feels so smooth and healthy!

This conditioner is clearly positioned as a luxury product, and receiving it in damaged packaging takes away from that experience. It would also be disappointing if the product were intended as a gift. In summary, I am happy with how the conditioner performs on my hair and appreciate the results it gives. That said, I would love to see improvement in two areas: a slightly thicker consistency for easier application, and more careful handling and packaging during shipping. For a product at this price point, these details make a real difference.

That said, every product I’ve tried so far has been high quality, beautifully scented, and leaves my hair feeling soft, nourished, and salon-level polished. Even though I’m still narrowing down my go-to favorites, I’m enjoying the process and really happy with the results so far.
