This is a great book for anyone interested in drastically improving their overall health. Dr. Mercola's approach in fairly consistent to Dr. Jordan Rubin's "The Maker's Diet". Great recipies and more
Very good information in this book if you are looking to go more healthy !!!!!! I am trying to lose weight and I don't want another diet that is gonna work until I hit my goal, this was that book for me.

Good Book
This is a good book, very informative. Gives you lots of information you need about health. I do recommend it.

Great recipes!
The text about the diet is on an introductory, beginning level and does a good job there. Don't look for a thorough treatment of metabolic typing, but everything essential to get started is here and easily understood. But the recipes are really great -- the book is totally worth it for the recipes. They are written as for a "Mixed" metabolic type, and then below the adjustments to make for a "Protein" type or for a "Carbo" type, and this is very educational to learn how to modify recipes for your type, so that has been invaluable too!

Dr Mercola's Totatl Health Recipe Book!
Okay, I agree the book has some good information but I was a little mislead. I've read many of the same things in other books but what I didn't know is that the book is 75% cookbook and 25% actual reading material. I was disappointed with that and I did send the book back. If I wanted recipes I'd buy a cookbook. Just a warning to those who are expecting more. Also, the few questions you are asked that tells you if you have a protein, carb, or mixed "metabolism" you could figure out on your own. Nothing revolutionary here. I think the Mercola website covers most, if not more, of this information already. I wouldn't waste the money on the book.

Great book if you want to get well
I am really happy I got this book. I first saw J. Mercola on a PBS station. I know what he's talking about because I have been working on my health issues for some time now. I will update this as I read and follow it's direction.

An informative read.
A ton of good information. Many people complained that half the book is recipes, but it makes total sense. His program is designed to teach you how to incorporate his nutritional advice into daily life, and that involves a lot of eating. I think its the perfect balance of information and applied information.

Still in the process of reading and trying to apply the many principles recommended. As I am Canadian it's sometimes a bit of a stretch to compare examples with Canadian experience, but it is without question the most comprehensive health management tool I have had the fortune to find. I am reading www.mercola.com daily and I am on a new path to optimal health thanks to Dr. Mercola.
