Q: what is the wire gage to the battery (red/Black)? I need long ones

Depends on how many amp you 8 devices draw if they were all turned on at once. The system can handle 60 amps which would be 4 gauge wire. I run only LED lighting so 12 gauge was plenty. Each individual circuit has its own fuse, each circuit should be fused to match the load and the wires out to the devices sized accordingly.

Q: Does the acc wire have to be connected? what does it have to be connected to?

ACC is assessory power or sometimes referred to as 12v switched. Meaning that the circuit is only energized when the key is on the "ACC" or "On/run" position.

Q: What is the difference between the two differ.ent styles of 8 gang switch kits? They both state they have solid state relays. What is different?
