Too stiff.
They work, I suppose. They'll cushion your knees, but they're impractical.Bought these to slip in some double-knee work pants. That was an impossible task. It's not a foamy material, these things are more like a soft plastic clamshell, you can't compress them enough to squeeze them in or out of the clean-outs.Forget putting them in or out of any pair of pants that doesn't have a full size opening.

Permanent part of my caving gear!
I've got these in a pair of military ACU pants and use them caving, almost weekly. I can kneel comfortably on just about anything with them. They are stiff, but they are flexible enough you can fold them at the "hinges" and shove them in. They're crazy durable. You're not going to break them shoving them into the holes.
