Bright enough to trace through thivk watercolour paper.
Superb. Bright enough to trace through thick watercolour paper. Love that I can charge it and then disconnect and take it anywhere wire free. Just what I needed for making my wife's Valentine card this year. I will be getting a LOT of use out of this this year.

Excellent light box, thoroughly enjoying using it.
I had another light box, which unfortunately, wasn't fit for the what I need it for. This is excellent, lovely bright light that streams through thick paper, and very lightweight so easy to move around.

This board is used solely for art. Primarily for the beginning outline for watercolour painting. Works like a charm! Couldn’t be happier.

I'm using this for film negatives. It is thin, light, bright and the right size to look at film in an archival preserver. It actually has several different brightness levels which makes it a lot better for the eyes not having to use it at full blast all the time. Before this, I was cheating by opening a blank Word doc on my second monitor and holding film strips up to it. This is much better. There is no battery so it has to plug into USB in order to work. I am happy with this since things with batteries eventually fail and most times batteries cannot be replaced. Another reason I bought this is the ruler is in metric, not imperial, which is very unusual in the States... then again, so is anything A4 sized. Since film is measured in mm/cm, it works out perfectly. Imperial wouldn't have done much good here.

I've tried a couple light tables for cheap on here before, and this one is the best out of them. Others use weird dots to project the light, this gives a nice uniform light which makes it good for drawing and viewing film negatives (my application). The ramping for brightness is really nice too, allows you to smoothly adjust brightness.
