This is terrific!
I researched laptop stands - perhaps obsessively - but was glad I put in the time. This is perfect for me. If you're accustomed to plastic or acrylic, it might seem too heavy, but I use this on a desk and weight isn't an issue. On the contrary, it's an asset, as it doesn't slide around like lighter substances. It doesn't wobble like many adjustable stands. The ventilation holes keep my laptop cooler than solid wood, no matter how attractive wood can be. One of my cousins uses the same one at home and swears by it; another has it in the office. It's great either way!

Works well. I bought this because friend recommended it. It's sturdy, very simple, not light, but not too heavy -- 3.5 lbs, or 52 oz.I recommend. I wish its pricepoint was about 25% less.
