I am not having success in diffusing with these reeds. What carrier oils are best to use? I am currently using almond oil.

Here is a tip for reference:
1.The almond oil is making your essential oil too thick to travel up the reeds.Just use essential oils which are thinner.
2.Choose a carrier oil:A carrier oil is a neutral oil that combines with an essential oil to dilute it so that the scent of the essential oil isn’t overpowering. Safflower oil and almond oil are common carrier oils. If you don’t want to purchase a carrier oil, you can also use plain water mixed with a splash of alcohol that is at least 90% concentration.You can use rubbing alcohol, perfumer’s alcohol, or vodka to mix with water as a substitute for carrier oil.
3.Flip the reed sticks after an hour. Allow the reed sticks to sit in the oil for an hour, then take them out and flip them over so that the dry ends sit in the oil mixture. This will saturate both ends and quick-start the process of releasing the scent of the essential oil.

Why does the jar have to have a narrow top? I have a glass jar i would like to use but the opening is much wider than most I am seeing

It really doesn't, you could use whatever you wish. Be an independent free-thinking rebel - use whatever you like and want to use, good for you. :-)

I’ve bought the black sticks before.What about these new colors？Are they the same material and quality as black?

Other colored diffuser fiber sticks are the same material and good quality.We offer a variety colors to match different bottles and home decor.
I hope you can choose the color you like.

Question 4

How often are you suppose to swap out the reeds? Mine are barely working after just a couple weeks.

Flip the sticks every once in a while to keep the scent from fading.When the sticks are completely saturated with liquid,replace them.How often to swap out the reeds is depend  on the oils and the reeds.It 's normal to change the reeds every few weeks.I hope it helps.
