Maybe I’m a little too excited?
This is an absolute must for anyone who colors, doodles, draws, or writes as much as I do! I am forever using a blank sheet of paper off to the side of my workspace to test my colors and or find groups that Compliment one another. I took to printing out 1”x1” squares on copy paper and tested colors that way, but what I love about this book is that next to the swatch you can write the color name that way you aren’t forever retesting the same color and wasting precious ink, lead, or time! Crayola markers and gel pens bleed to the back of the paper just slightly, although I learned a long time ago, that with thinner paper, you just need to tuck a piece of card stock/heavyweight copy paper behind what you are about to color and you’re good to go. I love that the swatching pages are printed on one side of the page and on the back side is just a space for notes! That way, if you are using markers that bleed a bit, you don’t have to worry about trying to swatch on the reverse side of a page with bleed through. Plus, a ruled area for notes is a much better use of space than potentially just leaving the backside blank. Honestly, I’m probably going to order a second copy of this book just because!

Exactly what I needed
Smaller sized so it's portable but not too small that there's not enough room. Same content throughout but it's all you need for samples. Would have given 5 stars but knocked one off not due to the creator but for Amazon packaging. It was in a box with other items but not protected so it was bent.

Nice chart book!
Awesome little book for tracking the colors you have. I have several copies of this book. One for each medium that I color with... one for alcohol markers ( use a blotter under the page)... one for water based markers (again use blotter under the page) a couple for my colored pencils and one for gel pens. The small size makes it handy to carry with you.

Great resource for all colored media artists.
This is a great idea for organizing and ensuring your pencils are the colors they are painted! I have a large 150 Sudee Stile set that are unfortunately numbered and only the end tips are painted. Especially without the descriptions of each of the colors, the reference this book gives me is even more important. With Ekaterina's Color Charts pages, I can now see how some of the colors are NOT like the painted tips and this gives me a better sense of shade and saturation. The paper that this is printed on is OK; not the level of tooth that I'd like to color on, but for a reference book, more than adequate.I've taken a photo of one of the pages to show you how valuable this is.Thank you Ekaterina! :)

It's cool but it's way smaller than I originally thought kind of a let down

Omg, where has this been all my life??!!
This is a fabulous idea!! I am a colored pencil nut, and have at least 20 different sets. I previously made my own color charts and was ok with them. Then I saw this book and HAD to try it. The results? All my charts are now in one place, in an easy to carry book. It’s great! I recommend that you put a thin piece of cardboard behind the page you are working on to absorb the pressure of your pens, pencils, etc. This will eliminate pressure lines from forming on the following pages.

Great Reference Tool
I love this book. I take it with me when I go to stores who sell open Stock. I can see what I'm missing and what needs replacing. Will probably reorder again in the future. Great addition for my supplies and references. Highly recommend this book.

Very helpful little book, wish I had found it sooner!
Very helpful little book!! Wish I had found it sooner!Glad I bought extras!!I've always made color referral swatches for the colored pencils, gel markers, sharpies, watercolor markers I have.Trouble is, the charts were in a big notebook on many different pages, making it bulkie to have on my craft table or carry with me on outings. This little book will keep my different mediums in one place. If you use it for markers, watercolors, they Will bleed through! You won't lose a swatch page, back side is for NOTES.

OK
It's a paperback, with fairly meh paper. Unfortunately, it can't be an informative swatch book then, since I find that high quality colour pencils, e.g. Pablos and Polychromos have a hard time displaying themselves on this paper. These pencils need a type of paper similar to 'field conditions'. The same goes for blending combinations. A swatch is there to help us recall the personality of that pencil, so we can make a decision about using or not using it in our work.I don't think this swatch book is helpful in that regard. What would be useful - and this is what I am going to do - is to take a mixed media sketchbook and swatch all the pencils and acrylic/watercolour paints in that sketchbook, as that would be a truer swatch book.Manufacturers, take notice: ColorIT manages to charge around £20 for colouring books with something like 50 pictures - and people buy it at that price, and leave glowing reviews (well deserved, IMO). The secret? ColorIT books are printed on high quality paper and spiral-bound.Anyway, for markers this swatch book it's OK, as long as you keep in mind that alcohol markers and Sharpies would bleed through the other side of the page and remember to use a piece of cardstock under the page when swatching. The book is fairly cheap and can be useful. I won't be using mine and can't recommend it to others wholeheartedly. It's OK, that's all I can say.

A really neat way of keeping track of all your pencils
If you are a keen colouriste with lots of pencils this is an essential in the search for the perfect colour for any part of a drawing. OK it takes a bit of time to set up as you have to colour in all the squares. Instead of writing the name of each colour I numbered my crayons with a sharpy pen. I keep my sets of crayons, I have 4..... I know but we all have our weaknesses, in cases. The very first time I did a picture this record of all the pencils I had made me realise what an essential tool this was. Instead of having to randomly searching through the pencils for something that looked suitable then having to test each one on a piece of scrap paper I was immediately able to see which pencil was the colour I wanted. The resulting drawing was the best one I had done and so easy.So all I can say is BUY one of these books for a neat and tidy way of keeping track of your pencils.PS. I know you could just do this in an ordinary notebook but with all it's little printed squares etc. this is such a neat and tidy way of doing this.

Love this book I have done one with all my ...
Love this book I have done one with all my colour pencil's coloured and named in this one book I call it my "colour bible" it goes everywhere with me. The one great feature about this book it it has a page next to the chart's so you can write note's on where you used that colour and how you used it. The only down side is that I would of liked it as a spiral bound, and the paper a bit thicker. However the first problem can be solved by getting it spiral bound but otherwise a great investment, I have about 3 of these and am going to get them bound into one so that all my chart's are together

Lots of pages for colour charts
Great for making up colour charts to look through & pick which colours go together. Very useful for an adult colourer like myself or even an artist! Lots of space for different collections of pens or pencils.
