KEEN mens Targhee 2 Mid Height Leather

I waited to catch this boot on a great price and finally snagged it. I have never tried slip on boots before, but I am happy with these. I was just in a torrent of rain for over 30 minutes and the waterproofing held up well. I wear size 11 in most shoes (with wide enough toe boxes like Keens). These fit as expected and I have no regrets purchasing a slip on style boot. Comfortable and Keen quality.

As a long time customer of Keen products, I have become disappointed. The quality of their products has plummeted in the last 5 to 6 years. This pair of boots started to delaminate in less than three months of use. It's unfortunate, because I do like the style, fit, functionality, and comfort they provide. They are water resistant, not waterproof. Time for Keen to improve the process in which they bond the upper to the sole; as this is the third pair of Keen boots I've had fail prematurely. $140 for a pair of boots that can't last 3 months is crazy! They should last at least a year - that would be acceptable value for the price.

These are Great Boots. Keen's are great as always. Very light weight and easy on and off. They are not insulated Very comfortable from the first step. Keen is pretty much the only brand of boots I purchase anymore. This was a different design from my normal boots I wear but can already tell these are my new favorites. This is about my 8th pair of Keens I have purchased.

Only Keen's insulted boots are waterproof. I'm on the central Oregon coast, so it doesn't usually get cold enough for insulated boots. So I thought I'd see how these do walking in a storm. I wore a Patagonia jacket and pant shells, and strapped the pants to the boots low on the ankle. The wind was blowing hard, and the rain was traveling sideways. The Patagonia stuff is bulletproof, but It didn't take long before I could feel water in the boot. The elastic on the side wicks up the water dripping from the pant shell. These are great boots, they are comfortable and stay good looking even under harsh use. But they can't handle a coastal rain storm.

We are so disappointed that the quality we have known in the past from Keen is no longer there. The style, fit and comfort is amazing and one of the only brands that fit my husband’s large feet, but after only a few weeks of regular wear and the toes delaminated. Sadly these had to be returned and we are back in the hunt to find a brand that will do quality over quantity all for a quick buck.

Comfortable right out of box. Front and rear pull straps work well. Toe rubber protection looks well designed. Too early to know if glue will outlast the sole. I can foresee the heel glue letting go if toe of opposite foot is repeatedly used to kick off shoes at end of day. While harder than Sketchers' soles, soles still too soft for real boot duty. Sole will collect goathead burrs, (Tribulus terrestris) and track them into your house. You will find them later with your bare feet.

Voici une grande déception. Chaussure agréable à porter qui correspond MAIS : franchement soit c'est une exception et alors je souhaite une autre paire, ou alors c'est un produit qui ne devrait pas être en vente : moins d'un mois après utilisation basique : décollement de la semelle en multiple endroit sur les deux chaussures. Si je me réfère a cette expérience : plus jamais cette marque ! Je modifierais volontier mon commentaire si je reçoit une autre paire qui me montre un tout autre regard. Nota : je ne suis pas du tout quelquun qui a l'habitude de me plaindre des produit mais là ....

I bought these for my son who was insisting on wearing his converse throughout winter. He is now happily wearing these boots, apparently, they are super comfy, they will see him right through this winter and hopefully many more winters to come!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: The boots fit as expected and are wide enough for comfort, well manufactured and perfect for urban winters (spring and fall too). They are the excellent quality I expect from Keen, as I have owned a number of Keen products over the years and I have never been disappointed. REVIEW UPDATE: I've had the boots for less than 3 years, with light use and the sole of both boots has separated from the boots without any notice. I've worn Keen shoes for many years and they typically last between 8 and 15 year. This pair of boots has failed completely after just 3 years. I still think Keen are good shoes, but based on my experience, I can NOT recommend the KEEN TARGHEE boots.
