Makes a very good cup of tea. Made with care, it is a great cup of tea.
This is the perfect box of tea to be given as a gift or for oneself. Green tea is something that is drunk a lot in my house. This is a box of 30 tea bags. It comes out to be about $1 a cup of tea. Each tea bag is in a foil lined individual pouch. Open it up and there is a a plant based sachet. This tea bag set states it the sachets can be commercially composted and the tea is sustainably grown.Commercially composted:I didn't know exactly what that meant I had to look it up. It means can only be composted in a controlled environment such as an industrial composting facility. How I made it: I boiled water, poured a 3/4 cup of it into a cup. Let it cool to 185 degrees. I dropped in a bag and let it steep for 3 minutes and then tasted it. In all 3 instances, I needed to let the tea bag steep a little longer than 3 minutes to taste the green tea better. More than 5 minutes the teas do start to become to bitter. This is definitely a tea that needs removed from the cup when it reaches the perfect strength or else it becomes bitter.Fez- This is a green tea that is combined with spearmint. At 3 minutes, I could taste the spearmint, but not the green tea as much. Closer to 5 minutes was the perfect strength for me. It produces a smooth spearmint flavor. The tea is not bitter.Jasmine Silver Tip- This is green tea with jasmine blossoms. At 3 minutes, I could taste the jasmine. Closer to 5 minutes, I enjoyed the flavor a lot more. To smell it, I can smell the jasmine. To taste it, I can taste the jasmine. This was one does have a bit of bitterness to it. I noticed it at 3 minutes also. The bitterness is a good bitterness that almost cleanses the palette.I enjoyed every cup of tea. 4 stars because it makes a great cup of tea. 4 stars because this is a tea that needs to be made with care. This isn't the tea bag that you drop in water, go do your morning routine and then come back to it. I measured out the water. I checked the temperature of the water. I set the timer so I knew when to stop steeping. Doing this, it made a very good cup of tea. Letting the tea bag steep while drinking produced a bitterness.Mao Feng Shui- Slightly sweet, fresh vegetative taste and aroma. To smell it that is exactly how it smells. It reminds me of being in my garden. To taste it, not as bitter as the jasmine and it does have a grassy vegetative. This makes a delicious cup of tea.

Amazing tea, intense balanced flavor, but a bit pricey. Still gets 5 stars.
This green tea set is packaged in a nicely designed box, where you slide off the cover and each type of tea is stacked below. 3 kinds in stacks of 10. Nicely done. Each tea bag is gauze-like with a ribbon to the tag. The packaging is easy to open. This green tea set contains:**** Fez No. 39: China Mao Feng full leaf green tea, Australia lemon myrtle, Pac NW spearmint leaves**** Jasmine Silver tip No. 96: China Full leaf green tea, scented with jasmine blossoms**** Mao Feng Shui No. 8: China Full leaf green tea, spring harvested.NOT A NOVICE TEA DRINKERA bit of a back story: Recently I received a gift of 50 Stash teas and 48 Bigelow teas. My family knows I like to try all sorts of flavors. I have been drinking tea since I was a teenager. I’m the type of person that can identify spices by smelling a dish. At this time at home, not including this tea set or any gift sets, I have easily 25 different types of tea at home that I oscillate through depending on the season.PHENOMENAL INTENSE FLAVOR:Like anyone I have my favorites, but also like most people I like to have “taste” in the tea. So many tea bags seem watered down. I can get a solid two cups of tea from each bag. NOTE: I do not add anything to my tea, no sugar, no milk. Doing this with the tea bag in your cup, would stop the steeping, so you would not get a second cup.Regarding this tea set, the main comment I have is that it is amazing. It is the best set of green tea I have tasted in a long time.COMMENTS BY TEA:Fez #39 : has the perfect blend of green tea and mint. Nicely balanced.Jasmine Silver tip #96,: is the first time I have gotten such a complete sense of the taste of Jasmine. So much better than any other Jasmine teas I have had. Well over 5-10.Mao Feng Shui #8: This one was the first time I have ever tasted tea that tasted like the green tea I had in Japan. I spent time working there on several different occasions and never found a tea shy of powdered Matcha that tasted this way. It had the taste, not the dryness.BUT IT IS PRICEYThe only thing potentially negative is that this is the most expensive tea I have had in a while. At $29/30 bags that’s $1/bag nearly. My other teas have been $8-15/30 bags, so half that price. But sometimes you get what you pay for.
