Q: Can this be used as a barbell in the pool?

yes, you can use this in the pool. I don't use mine for a flotation device as much as I use it to exercise. I am amazed at the work out my arms, chest, and back get from using this. ( side note: the first time I used this, I didn't think it was doing any good as it was easy to use. I played with it much too long and by the time I got home, my muscles were screaming)

Q: Does anybody have a link with any exercise instructiins specific to this product?

I had the same problem. There is a Sunset book on pool exercise programs and it has a short section on the foam roller, less than a paragraph. Basically you use it for resistance training much in the same way you would use exercise bands.

Thanks for your question! The TheraBand Kickroller is not intended to be a safety flotation device. However, it will provide some buoyancy for water aerobic exercises in deep water.
