Sony WLA-NS7 - Wireless Bluetooth transmitter that enables Dolby Atmos sound on selected Sony headphones, WLANS7B.CE7

This item is very good used on an older Sony tv with new Sony earphones easy to setup and great connection sound quality amazing

I bought this product because I am slightly deaf and it allows me to listen to my TV with Bluetooth headphones while other users can listen to the TV speaker at a different volume. It works well, just as described. It replaces an alternative system I had called Echolink Pro which uses an infra red signal, a receiver and in ear plugs.

It connected easily

Absolutely awful. Easy to set up and connect, this is where the good stops. I tried this item with various Sony products including Sony WLA-NS7, WH-1000 XM5, WH-1000 XM6. With the neck band, the volume even at maximum is far too quiet. With the headphones, volume was slightly better but not much. The big problem is the quality of the sound on Atmos audio. It is awful. There is no separation, the pseudo speaker settings are terrible with no app / ability to enhance or change them. The overall sound is very thin. The 3d effect is ok, but not effective. There is no ability to update firmware except through your TV when it decides it will allow you to. Basically a complete waste of money. The headphones sound miles better connected to the TVs native Bluetooth. Also, with the price of the Bravia 8 TV, Sony are out of order not including 3d codecs with its system. I really wanted this to be good but unfortunately I was very disappointed.

Not using it with Sony headphones bit works perfectly with my B&W headphones. Connects first time every time, I can't ask for anything more. Sound quality is excellent with hardly any drop outs. Lipsink has always been an issue with Bluetooth but not this Sony. Just make sure you have it on the right setting and lipsink is virtually perfect. Highly recommended.

Got them to pair with new Bravia Theatre U neckband speakers to enable 3d audio. The two together work very well, great sound

Couldnt get it to send Dolby Atmos. Returned.

If you have a newer bravia TV that's has the XR chip then this dongle is worth the wait as long as you have the supported headphones etc.. Otherwise it functions like any other blue tooth transmitter. Sound quality will depend on your headphone type and model. I use the Sony WH-1000XM4 type and have no sync issues.. audio is crystal clear and lip sync is spot on when watching movies and videos. There are cheaper transmitters but if you own an XR model it's definitely worth paying the extra for the codecs

Gebruik met Sony WH-1000XM5 koptelefoon en LG G5 65” OLED tv, direct op de tv valt het geluid weg, met dit product wordt het iets minder, maar nog steeds. Het geluid op zich verandert niet, geen “Dolby-effect”, maar gewoon ruimtelijk geluid. Misschien werkt een nieuwe wel goed, deze kwam onverzegeld en was duidelijk een retourproduct. Ik denk dat het maximale effect -met een nieuwe- wordt bereikt als je een Sony koptelefoon hebt en een Sony Bravia tv uit het topsegment. Google goed op jouw combinatie voordat je het koopt en let op dat het product verzegeld is met een Sony sticker.
