Shower Drain Hair Catcher/Strainer/Stainless Steel and Silicone

Works great. Doesn’t slide and catches hair.

This is a great drain protector, and works well in my bathtub drain and my kitchen sink drain (I got a 2-pack). It is well made, attractive, easy to clean, and prevents things like hair from going into the plumbing. BUT . . . my bathtub drain is not at the head of the tub, underneath the faucet area, as all the other bathtubs that I have had before are designed. The drain in my current tub is just to the side of the middle of the tub, where I stand as I shower. This drain protector just simply sits atop/lays on the drain opening. (I removed the pop up stopper from my tub drain, so that this drain protector could fit flush against the tub floor, over the drain.) It is made of metal with a thin rubbery outer edge (that I think should be thicker), that is designed to hold it in place. That design works, but a couple of times, when I have been washing my hair, my foot has bumped the drain protector and it slid aside then, from that, so the hair got into the drain. Even with the force of the shower water coming down on it, the drain protector does stay in place, which is impressive. BUT . . . I don't feel that it is completely reliable to do its job, for me anyway, due to the specific design of my bathtub with the drain being almost underfoot just to the side of the center of my tub, since bumping it with my foot as I shower has displaced it a couple of times now, rendering it ineffective for catching hair etc. then. I think that it would be fine in a tub where the drain was at the front of the tub, and not almost directly underfoot like mine is. Therefore, I would still recommend this product in most other cases.

This shower drain hair catcher/strainer is just what we needed in our tub. Our tub stopper broke and we had no way to keep things from going down the drain hole - and not just hair! Really glad I found this on Amazon. To use just open the package and place over the tub drain. Easy peasy!! It is a very nice size with tons and tons of little holes in the metal that keeps water flowing while catching hair, debris and anything else the kids drop. The circular edge is rubber which helps this stay in place a bit AND not scratch the tub. Would be nice if it stuck to the tub or had an indentation or something to keep in place as This strainer does move easily. STILL I recommend this

I was surprised at what it catches! My shower has a built in floor filter, and it caught hair. But I decided to try this filter because my hair is thinning, but it is not reflected in the amount of hair caught by the original filter. Ow I have a more accurate reflection of my hair loss. Sadly. Be sure to press it down so it stays in pl@ce. Excellent product.

This thing works like a charm. I have long hair (half way down my back) and it’s fine. Falls out fairly easily — this thing works like a dress. Easy to clean.

The first time I stepped on this it inverted instead of being a dome shape. It’s now a cup shape. But I’m still using it and it still helps as a second line of defense on my shower drain so I guess the trade-off is there’s no installation, it’s easy to clean and it still looks the same as the day I bought it other than the above mentioned.

I had purchased my first one of these MANY years ago and it lasted a LONG time. Only reason I ordered a new one, my COD didn't like how the rubber silicone had pink tint. (from years of use) It was still doing the job though. I ordered a new one and am just as happy with it. It is an easy install, just lay over the top of your current drain. Value is good. Stays in place and most of all it catches my hair! Highly recommend.

It is better than advertised. Fits perfectly over my shower drain and stays in place. It helps with catching hair.

Really effective, catches all hair. Previous reviewer mentioned it doesn't work if the floor is not perfectly flat, I have not had this issue on our floor which has a gentle slope down to the drain.

Das ewige putzen und auflösen der Haare hat weitgehend ein Ende. Der Haarfänger brachte eine wesentliche Verbesserung. Der Haarfänger rutscht nicht über dem Abfluss. Er ist sein Geld wert. Gerne empfehle ich diesen weiter.

Si, valen un poco mas que las de plástico, pero es que ya habia pillado unas y a los 2 meses ....guarras que habia que tirarlas !!! Estas al ser de acero inox van muy bien, y la verdad que sin queja, eso si ....como la muevas con el pie, se sale de su sitio, deberian estudiar unas mini ventosas o similar y...... SERIA PERFECTO !! Aun asi, muy contento calidad/precio: recomendadas

I think I have purchased about 5 different type of hair catchers and none have worked. Surprisingly these work, they catch the hair really well, and they are easy to clean. The only con is you can accidentality move it easily with your foot while in the shower if your drain hole is directly under feet, but I can live with that.
