Scratch proof, chew resistance, price fluctuates
I looked at these crate mats over a year ago. They were about $20 each but I didn't need them at the time. By the time I did need them they were double the price or more, so again, I waited. When the price dropped again, I bought them. They are made of a VERY durable fabric, I would describe as 'scratch proof' and very easy to clean. My dogs haven't chewed them, and while they aren't 'chew proof', they are proactively chew resistant. By this I mean it is hard for a dog to chew. It has very flat edges and corners which make it very hard for a dog to get a good spot to chew. My only complaint is that the pad is the correct width, but about two inches shorter than the crate is long. While it isn't really a big deal, it seems it would be better to just make them in the standard crate sizes available, like every other crate mat or pad is made. Overall, I am hery happy with these pads and would recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable, durable crate pad that is worth the cheaper price. Just don't pay too much, these things are worth $30/each.

Excellent outdoor training application
This pad is rugged, lightweight, water-resistant and well-made. What is not to like. Great 4-season, easily carried, quickly deployed outdoor training mat for the pup. Lightweight enough for a duck blind or readily move it around to teach "place," "sit" and so on, in any weather. Pick it up and move it anywhere in the living room, or on a camping trip place it near the picnic table to keep the pooch up out of the dirt and gravel. Wipes clean. Don't want it chewed? Don't leave him alone with it. Lab owners should know lab pups chew and that's the deal. Labs will gnaw on a rock for heavens sake, if you let them lol. This is a wonderful product.

Awesome crate liners
I use these as crate liners in my RTK/RL kennels in my vehicle. I previously had a set of these that made it about two years. My dogs don't chew but they do scratch a little. I finally had to reorder when my male dog was kenneled while my female dog was in heat and the crate liner exploded. (not literally, but he shredded it)

The cardboard box it comes in is better
A worthless product. It has about as much cushioning as cardboard, so the benefit over the plastic crate liner is minimal. Nevertheless, I tried it. It lasted less than 24 hours - about 16, to be precise - before it started fraying. So, neither useful nor durable.

Well...uumm....
I have a giant tightly wound ball of chewing a-hole for a puppy. Tried to be nice and get him a nice cleanable and durable mat for his kennel. This seemed like the best choice as he's my newest soon-to-be bird dog. However; it only lasted a few days until he was left home too long while we were at work, at which time he also went to work....on the new expensive mat. He completely shredded it. He's a chewer and i should have expected it, however, when he's out of his chewing phase, if that ever happens, I will get him another one, it was firm, well made, good material and a color that should hide dirt and mud pretty good. For a well behaved bird dog I think it will be a great long-lasting product, it could stand to be a little thicker though.

Ignore the misbehavior - great product
first- even the "chew proof" dog beds out there aren't chew proof- they have a "one time replacement" warranty. Anyone who bought this because their dog isn't kennel trained and tears up everything- well, what did you expect to happen? This is heavier duty! It can help with dogs who nest- it won't rip with scratching (which is different than digging!). Rubber underside and tough upper. You can hose it off to clean it. It provides support- no- it's not a memory foam mattress that's 4" thick. It's not supposed to be. It's a crate mate for comfort for your dog rather than them laying on hard plastic or in mud/cold ground. No different than a quality camping mattress pad. If you want a durable kennel pad that can easily be hosed down and will last- this is for you. If you expect this to teach your dog kennel manners and stop destructive behaviors, you will not get your money's worth.

Great for Gsd
Ordered the XL size 32"x22"x0.5" crate cushion to fit my 40"x27"x30" travel crate. Fits with extra room allowing dirt/debris to fall off sides rather than my dog directly laying on loose dirt. Make and materials are top quality. Rugged & tuff against natures elements. Easy to clean. Just shake off the dirt or hose it down. This is a MAT not a plush bed. Meant for those outdoor adventures. Added a few blankets/towels on top for comfort. Can be used inside or outside crate. Great as an in between barrier protecting German Shepherd from hot/cold/dry/wet/snow ground. This mat has been through a lot of outdoor excursions & survived. Meant for dogs who have passed the chewing stage.

Not for dogs that chew....
Seems like a good quality mat, fairly rugged and easy to clean. That said, not very chew resistant... Out dog destroyed it in less than an hour while crated.

I bought this mat as my puppy was eating every bedding I laid down for him. Whether it were blankets, pillows, mats, pads, etc. Everything would be eating by the little monster. I decided to look into 'undestructible' pads and came across this in a review somewhere on the internet. Looked the part, so I ordered it for the little guy. He must've left the eat my own bedding phase as he hasn't really tried to chew this one. He does really like it though, as it's much more comfortable than the bare crate itself when he is in between beds. He does make an effort to sleep there most nap times, so that means it's doing something. But as far as the durability and indestructibility, he hasn't really tested it in that way. So I cannot say for certain how effective this mat is. The good thing I can say though, it is hard to actually chew this mat in the crate if you're a dog. It is only 1" in height so the dog would really have to dig or have opposable thumbs to grab it and then bite it.

Fits in our dog crates, and does not budge. Very durable. I already own one of these crate cushions and it's still in great shape after years of use, that's why I decided to buy a couple more.

35mins in my dogs crate and he destroyed it. He’s not a particularly destructive dog.

I use it in her crate when I go hunting. Resistant and easy to clean.

Bought this to add a softer Cashion for kennel. First I have a Large RuffLand kennel, according to the manufacturer the pad is 1/2" too wide at 18" where the inside of the Large is 17.5". I put it in and it fits snug, no bunching up. Wish it was a little longer, but dose not affect the fit. Only really had a chance to use it once right now. Will add more review when i get to use it more.
