Q: How do I shape these so they are not flat as a pancake? I tried an exacto knife but now can't hit straight.

You need to buy a shaper, it's like a curved sandpaper or sandpaper-like metal or you can use a lathe if you have one handy that can fit a cue in it and a razor or lathe cutting tool. There are plenty of cheap good quality tools for shaping and cutting cue tips. Common radius shapes from more forgiving inaccurate strikes to least: Nickle, Penny, Dime

Cuesoul does have a cuesoul original in brown. All hardnesses. Have to go to their website to get them however. Or at least I haven't seen them anywhere else.

They are definitely harder than standard medium. I would rate the medium as hard.
