Saker Scribing Tool
How have I got through DIY without this tool! Great multi function scribing tool that allows you to accurately mark tile, laminate, LVT, in fact any flooring so you can make an accurate cut around skirting, corners, door frames, etc. Can also be used as a compass. Made of metal and the clutch pencil included is of a good quality and a thick enough gauge lead that it doesn't break everytime you use it. Comes with additional spare leads.

OK for large offsets
Only downside is that it is not easy to scribe lines of less than about 12mm offset. It is possible, but fiddly to adjust and set in this case. Pencil is good.

Good but a design flaw
The scribing tool is well made and has many useful functions. BUT there is a design flaw. It is impossible to scribe a line approximately 100mm plus minus 5mm from the end of the tool. So if you need to do this be aware that you will not be able to use it.

Another badly presented Saker piece
Really surprised at the review rating this piece has. I've had and tried to use this for a couple of months now and have found it is well designed but poorly put together.Where to start? First of all, the tightening ok knobs. They do not tighten enough to hold the pencil at the right scribe distance. I even tried with pliers (as the knobs are fiddly) but found they do not have enough tension. Any pressure on the pencil moves it. Pointless. The sharpener is hidden in the end, you cannot use the last inch of pencil ( as it just pushes into the body), the end fell off early on and scribing gloss panels with this is near impossible.
