I don’t believe there is a quick release available. I have another amazon off brand strap i used for years and this one is better quality and great padding. I have only used it once and so far not having a quick release hasn’t been an issue

Hi. If by "safety tethers" you mean if the product allows you to hang a camera from each shoulder, yes. I have not used mine yet In the wedding that I did a few weeks ago, I just decided to hang one camera on a short strap around my neck and the other camera around a slightly longer cord around my neck; both were hanging in front of me. I have two Canon SL2s. One of the things that I liked was when I tested the product, was that the shoulder pads did not slide around on your shoulders when you are wearing them. But the short answer is "yes", two tethers ... lol.

Q: Is the sternum strap removable?

Yes. The sliders have slits in them. It's difficult installing and removing such sliders, but absolutely is possible. I've used those sliders to add accessory straps to my backpacks. In fact, I added a sternum strap to a knapsack using these same type of split sliders.
