SKv2-1500.1D

As of right now I've had this 1500 watt Skar Amp hooked up for two weeks and it's pushing the hell out my 12" Sundown X-12 v3 2000w sub. people don't believe I have one sub in my trunk. I had tried a 3000 watt Tyramps amp and it clip on songs that didn't even had deep bass smh. By far this amp gets a thumbs up from me.

Wanted it to work with the Skar Evil 12” sub (1200 watts RMS) but the size of the amp was just too big for it to be out of the way in the back of the jeep. Ended up returning it. But will probably buy again sometime down the road when I find a good spot for it.

Awesome addition to a 2500 watt skar sub

I just got the Skar SKv2-1,500.1D. I have had the RP 2000.1D for about 7-8 months and I just got this one this and it weighs almost three times as much as my RP2000.1D and the quality looks and feels way better, don't get me wrong I love my RP2000 but I think I'm going to buy another one of these so I can strap them together in my one car and put the RP2000 in the other. I will update after I've ran it for a couple months. If you're thinking between this (SKv2-1500.1D) and the RP2000 pay the extra money and get this, either way YOU WILL NOT be disappointed with SKAR AUDIO!!!! All of there amps are amazing they blow my Kicker ZX amp out the water and the RMS is always higher then what it says!!!!! Skar audio is very conservative with their ratings my RP2000 was supposed to be 2000 RMS and I'm pushing almost 2,268 RMS at 1 OHM starting voltage was 14v ending voltage was it 12.9V. I'm done telling you how great this thing is you can watch the videos on YouTube and see people actually Dyno testing these amps yes Shar does do their own dyno but there's plenty of people that dyno these amp that are not through Skar. I was skeptical of the videos before I got my RP amp but there's no question after I got it! I have bought Skar 12" subs and a couple amps and even earbuds "headphones" all are better than I was hoping for with only one exception and that is the earbuds do not buy the earbuds!!!!!!!! That's all I'll say about that.

Amplifier was damaged on arrival. Very disappointed. It was clearly tampered with even used by the looks. It was extremely well built though. Much heavier than the RP-1500.1D.I've heard nothing but good things about the SK.v2 line. Unfortunately I didn't get to test mine but was impressed by the craftsmanship. I would order another but Skar raised the price on them unexpectedly so I will look for a different amplifier unfortunately. Maybe Taramps idk. I really like Skar products and have used them for years but am a little skeptical now. I have a brand new set of 12" Subwoofers I haven't even used yet because I was waiting for my amp.Update: I reached out to Skar Audio about the price increase and broken amplifier. They did not acknowledge at all that the amplifier was broken on arrival and instead gave me excuses about being "unable to maintain our current pricing structure" along with "increased cost of doing business" and "an increase in cost of materials" wich to me sounds ridiculous that this one platform has a higher price than others. So I was ultimately forced to pay a higher price. A few days later they lowered the price back to its original price. Now I have to return it again so I can replace my order. It's frustrating that not only did they not apologize for the damaged product they made excuses for the unreasonable price increase then reduced all their prices a few days later. Maybe if this amplifier works properly and is not damaged or tampered with I'll keep it. But I will not be doing business with Skar again...

I’ll start by saying I’m impressed with quality and sound per dollar. I’ve spent the last 20 years running primarily Rockford Fosgate, and kicker amps and speakers, and skar will destroy both in the same price range by a mile. I’m replacing pioneer amps this time around and this is louder and sounds better than the similarly spec pioneer rated at 1800/1200rms @1ohm x 1. Very impressed with this brand and have a VFX 12 going in for this amp with another in the future. So far only negative to skar is the fanboy status in the squatted truck community.
