Well thought out elegantly designed and constructed. Slimmer, lighter than similar Leatherman. Carefully crafted leather pouch allows knife to easily slip in and out where as Leatherman nylon tight pouch requires fighting. Leatherman is accessory for everyday Levis. Victornox is an accessory for special occasion tuxedo.

I've been a HUGE Victorinox fan for the past 20 years and, after this purchase, I am an even bigger fan.THIS IS A MUST BUY IF LOOKING FOR EDC PLIERS.The two multitools in my backpack up until a couple of months ago were the SwissChamp for dependability and versatility, and the Gerber pliers multitool (mainly b/c of the pliers).I recently parted with the Gerber, giving it to my father after a road incident he had.I had my eye on this set (Victorinox Swiss Tool Spirit X Plus with Ratchet and Leather Pouch) for a while but hadn't really had a necessity b/c I had the Gerber. But when I gave it away, I immediately went for this set.I am so glad that I did because there's nothing like it!The ratchet is amazing. Very nice touch, adding the Vnox shield logo on there.The storage... the way they fit into the leather pouch is perfect.Someone wrote this was elegance.. I'd like to add that it's "elegant engineering". The way that it all looks and works is unmatched.Must buy if you are looking for a set of pliers.NOTE: If given a choice between one or the other, I prefer the SwissChamp as an EDC multitool. But this is definitely my go to for an EDC pliers set.

Sin discusión alguna es la mejor multiherramienta que he tenido. Calidad, presión y 100% útil . Ya está es mi segunda, todavía tengo la primera (20 años de uso).

The tool itself has performed as advertised and has shown it can handle medium duty tasks very well. The finish doesn't mar and the tools are sharp and up to all of the tasks done so far. The bit set and ratchet take a little getting used to, and the bit will push through the ratchet if too much pressure is applied when using it. When this happens, then the ratchet ability stops until the bit is repositioned. Also, the bits must be inserted on one side of the ratchet to tighten and inserted on the opposite side of the ratchet to loosen. This is an annoyance. Having the long end of the ratchet handle with a female end to insert the bits into is a plus as this allows the use of the tool as a multi-bit screwdriver. Overall, while the tool isn't perfect, it definitely serves its advertised purpose, and definitely supports the reputation Victorinox has with the working/military world. I would buy it again.

Very handy and useful pice of tool

Bevor ich dieses Messer bestellt habe, hatte ich schon etliche Vergleiche zu anderen Messern von Victorinox angestellt, aber ich wollte ohnehin ganz bewusst eines von diesem Hersteller. Somit kann ich nicht sagen, wie es im Vergleich bspw. zu einem Multitool von Leatherman aussieht.Ich wollte ein Tool mit einer guten Kombizange und wichtig war für mich eine Ratsche. Nun besitze ich doch schon einige Messer (auch Leaterman's), aber noch keines mit einer Ratsche UND "normalen" Bits.Somit war mit rasch klar, dass es entweder ein normales Swiss Tool X Plus mit Rasche wird ODER halt die Spirit Version. Diese Spirit-Version ist etwas schlanker und leichter und kostet auch weniger. Dennoch hat die Spirit-Version quasi alle Funktionen wie der "nicht" Spirit.Die Ratsche ist echt cool, zuerst suchte ich einen Umschaltknopf wo man die Richtung wechseln kann, aber den gibt es nicht. Man muss die Ratsche einfach umdrehen ;).Dieser Bithalter ist nicht ganz voll, somit kann man die restlichen Plätze mit eigenen individuellen Bits füllen. Und es sind ganz normale Bits, so wie man sie halt bei Akkuschraubern, usw. kennt. Weil die von anderen Taschenmessern, sind ja oft viel kleiner (von der Fassung her).In Summe muss man sagen, dass man die 36 Funktionen in echt nicht so ganz findet, weil manche Funktionen irgendwie doppelte haben ... aber das ist immer so bei diesen Messern :)Die Funktionen sind echt sehr hochwertig ausgeführt und cool ist auch der aufsteckbare Korkenzieher.Somit für mich ein absolutes Highlight und auch für Geocaching, Camping, usw. ein meganützliches Tool.

Le Swiss Tool Spirit X est un produit techniquement abouti, d'une précision inégalée dans ce genre d'outil.On peut toujours compter sur lui pour faire face aux différents avatars d'une journée.C'est un achat que je ne regrette pas.Amicale pensée.Alain.
