Excellent!!! Work well for more than 1yrs now.

I was looking for a ceiling mount to free up my floor from lightstands. These 'camera wall mounts' fit the bill perfectly. They're adjustable, they're sturdy and they come with safety connection points for my heavier lights. The price is excellent for this quality and is the case with Amazon (more often than not), the delivery time exceeded expectations. It's worth pointing out that even in the fully retracted position, these mounts are pretty long. So if you're looking to support from the ceiling (or anywhere, really) it's worth being clear about its dimensions. It's a little longer than I would have liked for my bowens mount spotlights.

Used these to adjust my ceiling hung barn door backdrop lights vertically in my studio. No more floor stands. Great for eliminating floor stand clutter.

I have a pair of these to hold backdrops, and they seem to work fine.

Great quality materials

Used these to install overhead three large LED lights in my garage. Got really tired of tripping over the tripods. Great improvement--lots more floor space. Unfortunately, these were not really compatible to connect, so I had to machine some aluminium connectors. These are intended for photographic lights. They work great. Too bad the don't come with some sort of universal connector. They could sell a ton of these if it had one.

Item collapsed breaking my 3k camera! No lens attached, and not a heavy camera by any means. Had it left overnight in my production studio thinking I could trust this item, and found my camera smashed where one of the joints had given way. The base is sturdy, and the extendable joints where you can tighten and release are made of metal and feel strong but little do you know it's the parts you cannot see not adjust that give way. Not to be trusted especially if being used as an overhead mount.

Works great

These are great but there is just one feature that is missing that I think would complete the design. If there was a way (either snap on/off or screw on/off) to disconnect and connect the mounting arm to the actual bracket that screws into the ceiling, these would be perfect. I work in a small space and I would assume that many who buy these are also running into floor space restrictions in their studios. Having that said, when I remove the light, having a random pole sticking out of the ceiling in the way of tall people who enter my studio is a bit of a nuisance. However, if I were to unclip or unscrew the pole/mounting arm from the ceiling bracket, I could simply take it off until I use it again.
