Why? They are a stretchy rubberized material. You don't use them when you are sweaty. You wipe them off with a damp cloth if you felt the need. Unless you are a germaphobe, you would never need to wash them.

Floss is not meant to stay on for an extended period of time. If you are flossing a joint you tuck the end of the floss into the last layer you wrapped. After you are finished taking the joint through the range of motion, you remove the floss but untucking the end of the floss from where you secured it.

Q: does the rubber break down and "yellow"??

Eventually, the rubber will break down. I've had one for two years and use it regularly and have not had issues with it "weakening." As far as yellowing? With the bands being black, I think it would be hard pressed to even see if it yellows or not. All rubber does over time, I believe, due to oxidation and being out in the environment.

Q: does the 1 pack come with two bands?

Yes I received a red one and a black one. They come in the pouch together both different (thicker than other)
