Works as advertised. We have well water here from an aquafer that has a modicum of calcium in the water. This filter works well enough that the ice from the machine is very good. Easy to install. The tip fits perfectly into the receptacle and there is no slop after installation.

I ordered a 4-pack of these back on Feb 21st. Today is Mar 21st, and I'm already down to my last filter. The description claims they last 3 months, but I’m only getting about a week out of each one before my Opal flashes the 'Add Water' error, even when the side tank is full. I run clean, filtered water from my water cooler through my ice maker. At first, I wasn't sure what was wrong, but after reading up on it, the issue is the filter design itself. These Waterdrop filters are packed way too densely for the Opal's water pump. The machine struggles to pull water through the thick carbon block, creates an airlock, and stops making ice. Even people using pure distilled water are having this exact same issue. I am throwing my last one away, putting the standard mesh screen back in, and never ordering these again.
