fit gun perfect

I bought these rings for my Remington 700 .308 to mount my 10-40x56 Sightmark riflescope. Pros: These rings look awesome. They are very solid and fit well with the squared crossbars. They worked perfectly with my scope, which clears the barrel by a perfect 1/8" with the caps installed or 1/4" without (barrel is a Remington 700 #7 Varmint Contour cut to 20" from recoil lug and measures .860" diameter @ muzzle). Cons: I had hoped for a nicer fit to the rail, but it's decent for the price. Also, upon opening these rings I decided that I wanted to check the fit of just the bottom half of one of the rings to my scope, so I slipped the bottom half of one of the rings on and it didn't just slide right in. The ring (both of them actually) were not quite cut round to fit the contour of the scope tube, and were machined quite roughly on the inside. So, having just slipped the ring on basically just to see how it looked, I removed the bottom half of the ring and some of my scope's coating with it. So, I would say make sure you run a lapping bar through these rings prior to putting a scope anywhere near them at all, unless you want a nice cut in the finish of your scope, like mine.

Solid as a rock

I just installed these rings and haven't had a chance to shoot them. With that in mind...they're on a Savage Axis XP .308. I installed a Weaver rail on the gun first, and mistakenly ordered the Weaver style instead of Picatinny. The Picatinny rail was about 3x the price, so I just ordered these rings instead. I'm glad I did. They seem solid, and the scope seems very secure. I could be wrong. I may take the gun out and shoot it now and the scope start walking. I don't think that's gonna happen, though. I used the torque specs from the Weaver website, and the whole setup seems rock solid. (For anyone who has an Axis, the objective on my scope is 44mm, and it's long enough that the bell clears the rail and the barrel just enough).

They were perfect for what I needed.

These are the second set I’ve purchased for my rifles. Large contact patch and skeletonized frame ensures it holds my scope securely on my .308 while keeping weight low. Fit and finish is excellent, maybe not as polished as some other high end rings, but don’t let that fool you to think they’re garbage. They look great on the rifle, easy to install, and won’t break the bank. I’ve had no problems while tightening the rings on both my rifles with them crushing the tube at all. And they’re the larger 30mm tubes too. The low rings fit a 44mm objective on a low profile weaver rail with a spotter barrel with at least 7-8mm to spare. Medium rings fit 56mm objective on a 20moa weaver rail with also 7-8mm of space, but on a heavy barrel. Long story short, if I need rings in the future, I’m purchasing another set of these.

Great Weaver rings, looks great, top quality. The package says for a 44mm objective optics but I fit a 50mm optic with a low profile weaver rail and it still a good amount of clearance between the barrel and the objective bell of the optic. Oh and another pro of the product... THEIR MADE IN THE U.S.A. NOT CHINA!

There's a tiny ridge on the edge that I filed off. Otherwise it grips my scope well on my .22 LR rifle. Zero didn't move even after the rifle slipped off the rack and hit the rack with the scope.

Good for the money overall. You will need to sand the sharp edges in order not to scratch your scope. Will buy again.

These are decent rings. Solid construction. Not made off shore. As good as or better than a brand name scope line for quarter the price. I have 3 sets.
