It's a really nice size, similar to the XL Star Trek ships, about 10.5 inches in length. It's nicely detailed and the stand is more subtle than the Star Trek ships, giving the appearance that it's in 'lift-off' mode, about 1 and half inches up. I suppose you don't need to use the stand at all if that works better.
