For the price of this Chefs coat, I thought I would be treating myself after 16 years in the culinary industry and what feels like a lifetime of unisex uniforms being “good enough”. WELL… After spending the extra on this piece, thinking it would be higher end, waiting patiently for arrival and eagerly trying it on, I can’t actually adequately put my full-on DISDAIN and DISAPPOINTMENT into words. This “uniform piece” is a complete and utter waste of money. Feels like a thin/airy dress shirt. Severely overpriced, claims highbrow design went into it and it’s catered to women’s fit, sure, “it fits”... BUT thats because a number of the back and side panels of this “chefs coat” are made of a really thin, lightweight stretch material (vs quality cotton or other material that would actually provide some level of protection against kitchen mishaps). There is nothing high end about this garment. I’ve experienced way better quality and material from my other unisex/men’s chef coats but always desired a more feminine fit. This just ain’t it. The “design” of The Marrakesh translates to frumpy when worn, and I’m more on the petite end of the fit spectrum. I can’t believe I believed their sales pitch on the inspired kind of designing that went into this garment. Save yourself the money on this piece of trash masquerading as high-end workwear. Even the brand elements are cheap-looking, and this is all a step or two above the lower cost Chef Works apparel lines. (According to them) … All I’ve ever wanted was a non-frumpy non-“unisex”/male-minded work uniform. The collar on this coat screams oriental design ripoff too, but it’s really snug and not actually all that comfortable against your skin. Returned for refund immediately — if I could rate this piece a zero for dreams of grandeur, I would.

This is a great showpiece, and it fits my apple-shaped body perfectly. It’s also very slimming and keeps you cool in the kitchen. Plus, the stains are easy to remove. I also love the pockets!

I've had this coat for a couple of years. I'm a home cook. Washed many times, has stood up well. I bought this when I was a heavier weight so it's roomy right now but I don't mind as I'm not cooking as a fashion model. It has a stretchy material for the back and the rest of the coat has a good quality fabric. Might be too heavy for summer or hot kitchens. My only peeve is that the sleeves are too long for my taste. I'm 5'1" and I always have to roll them up. One of these days I'm going to shorten them to 3/4 length. Anyway, the black is great to not show stains and it's certainly a more slimming color, too.
