Q: This is not true arrowroot...maranta arundinacea!!! this is tapioca....manihot esculenta! why the mislabled product?

Manihot Esculenta is NOT arrowroot - is sometimes called "Florida-Arrowroot" or "Mock-Arrowroot" because it LOOKS the same (AFTER processing), but it is NOT the same. They are completely different except for how their powder LOOKS. They are not even the same Order, or Family, or Genus, much less the same Species. This is tapioca being sold as arrowroot since they look the same after processing- not cool! I am on a very strict candida diet and cannot have tapioca, but can have pure arrowroot

Q: How long is this products shelf life?

Q: I just read you can use this as an alternative to Bare Minerals mineral veil, this true? Can you use it in your face?

Yes you can use this on your face, it will be better for your skin then the mineral veil but may not be as effective. Check out pinterest for recipes for makeup using organic arrowroot powder. I found that helpful to get some shading right to make mineral makeup.

Q: Can the bag it is in be recycled?

Reality: It depends on your local recycling program. Yes, the package is recyclable in general but our city recycling doesn't take it. I would have to find a city that takes it and drop it in someone's recycle bin there. Every city is different in what they will /won't recycle.
