I don't know! Hmmm. Let me weigh it ...... Around 3 1/2 lbs ( but that's fully frozen and folded up). That weight would be distributed across the whole surface of what it's laying on. Didn't feel too heavy on my leg at all.

Q: Can you heat it in the microwave?

Sorry! I never tried to do that! Surely the instructions say something about that. If they don't say anything about nuking it then I wouldn't attempt it. It's phenomenal for icing large areas ESPECIALLY if you want a little pressure also though.

Q: Will this work for peripherial neuropathy nerve pain?

If icing it helps then it probably would! I used mine after I had a large portion of my calf removed and I was in the later stages of wound care ( for leg swelling). I've also used it for my lower back.

Q: Is this item fsa approved

I'm not sure what that means? I purchased this within the last 30 days and it has broken open ALREADY.
