The opening seen in the picture is where a roll of tape can be installed. The other side is flat with no obstruction, so a paper roll of 4" or more could be mounted there as long as the core opening is at least one inch.

Regular size dispenser scotch tape.

Sure they are spring activated clamps so they would probably work on about any table
