Denise Interchangeable Crochet Hook Kit

I just received these today and had to write a review right away. I absolutely love these Tunisian crochet hooks! They are nice and smooth and don’t cramp your hands as some that I’ve tried do. I highly recommend it and for premium Tunisian crochet hooks you can’t beat the price for all that you get. They are a little short but with all of the extenders that’s not a problem.

Great to work with. Great sizes. They were very durable. They had all the sizes I needed and it was easy to change the size of the cord on them.

After some experience you may wish for a hook that feels better in the hand, perhaps is longer, but the Denise hook depth of the groove for grabbing yarn to pull through is really good for non-slip crocheting. I think the set is pretty great and versatile and even though I am also indulging in other fancier hooks, this set will be used over and over again for sure.

Love the variety of sizes that comes with the set but I find it hard to hold so it has limiting factor for me and I have small hands. I will keep the set though, still a good set to have but I'm buying another set with bamboo and longer shaft.

Tunisian crochet is so new to me that I really didn't know what tools I needed or might need with different projects. I've seen this same set of hooks offered at different yarn sites and knew there must be something to them. After researching how handy the set is for tunisian crochet, I decided to just get them. After all, Hubz doesn't know I need these. =) In the meantime, I had been working with long bamboo type hooks I had bought to try out tunisian crochet. My set arrived and I immediately started using it on the current project. What a difference they are! They move through the yarn like BUTTER. So smooth and easy and my stitches became more uniformly made! I liked it so much, I made a huge throw for dad's Christmas gift. Everybody loved the look of this blanket. Tunisian is special. I like that the hook and neck are inline -like Susan Bates hooks, not jutted out like Boye hooks, and I have every size I need. I've learned with tunisian you have to swatch to get it right and you need at least 3 or more larger sizes that traditional crochet, and you don't know which size until you swatch. Having them all saves me from stopping and waiting for another hook to be delivered. I liked these so much, I've put the knitting set on my wish list. Perhaps Hubz will look there for my birthday soon. =) If you're hemming and hawing, just get it. You'll be glad you did.

I can't tell you how much I adore this Denise set. It feels marvellous in the hand, and the cords are thick. The locking mechanism works very well. I ordered a set of knitting needles a couple if minutes ago because i am so very pleased. Now I have to figure out what to do with a beautiful full set of needles and then some I got in Scotland 40 yrs ago. These are really fine needles.

I own the Denise knitting needle set, and I love them. I thought I would feel the same about the crochet hooks, but they are just too short for my liking. Cable cords were pretty stiff too. This is a quality product if they work for you.

A great purchase! My favourite set along with Clover Takumi. I've got used to the short hook. When I lack a bit of a grip on the hook itself, the attached cord helps. The cords are a bit stiff and don't get much more flexible while working. But the most important thing is that the cords don't come off. The hooks are also very light and have enough grip for any yarn - neither sticking nor sliding off (I've tried various yarns and mixes - wool, acrylic, cotton, linen, mohair).
