Screwdriver is 6 inches, the wrenches are 7 inches and the hammer is 7.5 inches. Very proportionate to my sons body. He is the size of a 6 year old.

Q: What the age range it designed for. Have a three year old is he to young?

No, it should be fine for a 3 year old. We got it for our daughter to wear to the kids' workshops at Home Depot when she was only 32 months old, and she loves wearing it.

Q: What are the tools made out of?

I bought this as a gift and have not opened it yet but the tools appear to be made out of plastic.
