Q: Would it work for ferrets ?

Not sure if they respond to the noise like a dog. We have invisible fence which also has a noise before shocking so it works great for us. Most of the time we don't turn them on.

Yes, I think so, I just put it out when I go to work. The dogs want to be in my lap when I am home so I just set it aside.
