ELC Early Learning Centre 140091 Mega Messy Mat

After considering cheaper alternatives of a messy mat, I decided to go for this ELC Mega Messy as it is an excellent large size and I trusted a previous reviewer of great quality. Well worth buying, not the cheapest on here but I needed a long term mat to suit a play doh enthusiastic 2 year old and a soon to wean baby for this to go under high chair. Fairly thick material that certainly will not rip or tear, folds up very well and neatly after every use. Paint, play doh...anything just wipes off and its size enabled me to sit on the floor and get involved with messy fun times with my son without worrying about bits going over the edge onto the floor. Highly recommend, for me on this item it was quality above price and I'm so glad I did

I was concerned for the plastic smell after reasing others’ review.It actually smeels as soon as you open it, that’s true, but the smell goes away after the first wash so it did not bother me.I find it very useful for weaning as the size is perfect and also for free nappy time as it is easy to wash.Good quality, nice and tick.

Was worried about the mat from other reviews saying it smells awful, it just smells like plastic, it is quite strong but disappears after use. I would still recommend as it’s big and good quality and wipe clean. We use it for drawing and painting.

I give 3 stars as it served its purpose perfectly. Wipes clean. It does have a funny smell but its for under the highchair so it doesnt really matter to us. I paid £7 for this item which was a cheek considering the packaging states its should be £6. I would have sent it back out of principle but we needed it and i couldnt be bothered if im honest.

It does smell really bad and it is persistent.. I had to keep it outside for a few days and clean it a few times..
