For me,these filters are a direct replacement for my Dupont water filter system with a price advantage. Seams like they filter our water good. Very easy to change.

Oct. 2025: Ordered again. This water filter is great !! Nov. 2024: I bought this Waterdrop water filter for Du Pont 3 stages under sink water filter replacement. 2 of RC 3 EZ (Waterdrop) to replace 2 original Black labeled WFQT 7000QT( DuPont) 1 of RC 4 EZ (Waterdrop) to replace the 1 original blue labeled WFQT 9000QT(DuPont). ( Not sure if this is for Microbiological. But I think the way that RC 4 EZ filtered water is Microbiological.) I know this is made in China. However, the manufacturer's location and the distributor's location are all clearly indicated on the waterdrop.com website, and can be traced on Google Earth. The customer service department replied to the calls very soon. I tried to purchase an American-made product, but I did not get any reply after a few times calling and leaving voicemails. It has an Unknown Manufacturer location, unknown distributor location, only a UPS store location address provided for the return. So I decided to purchase this China-made item, and it works well. The water is clear and no smell now. I am good with this brand. * Waterdrop and Water Crest are the same manufacturer, same distributor, and same customer service phone number.

These for my Culligan under sink filter, and remove the whiff of chlorine I notice from our tap water. The filtered water tastes great, and my ice maker seems to like it as well. The price is amazing. You get a two pack for less than one name brand RC-3 filter. But…is it actually filtering the same way a Culligan RC-3 does? I have my doubts based on my observations. The RC-3 filter provides a higher level of filtration and as a result the flow is noticeably slower than an RC-1 filter. These flow as fast as the RC-1 filter they are replacing. They are also rated for more gallons than the RC-1 filter, which is rated for about twice the gallons of an RC-3. Can I prove my suspicions? Well, if I invest in some tools maybe. But it doesn’t seem to behave the same way as an official filter of the same rating. Am I returning them? No, because the basic filtration is what I need in this town, unlike my last place where we had some recurring water issues. Even if these are filtering at the same level of an RC-1 filter (chlorine and odors), I get two for the price of one. And when I’m done with this first one, I will cut it open and see what’s what inside.
