A Course in Miracles: Workbook for Students Manual for Teavhers Paperback – October 1, 2008

This book contains two sections: The daily exercises (by far the longest section) and a much shorter section as a manual for teachers. Apparently it condenses the full text which it calls "abstract". To say its vision is radical is a large understatement. A reader should be prepared to have the rug pulled out from under their entire understanding of the world (assuming they are a "normal" human being, but then few "normal" people are going to read this). I've read the teacher's section so far and found it inspiring and encouraging, even comforting. It is extremely seldom that this degree of understanding (or at least what my humble consciousness thinks is understanding) is seen in the world. I'm slowly going through the daily exercises (they're brief, usually only a page, one a day for 365 days). The basic starting point is "nothing you think is real". For those desperate for SOME kind of sense or way to understand what this whole situation really is, this book offers a very appealing way to come to a (presumably) much deeper understanding (which isn't saying much considering the conventional human mind). To take its full ride will leave you a very different human being, and I have no idea what that would be (I'm pretty pulled into my garages like most people). I learned of A Course in Miracles from high praise in a David Hawkins book.

Life changing. Each person will have their own experience and the choice is ours and always has been. Even the Bible speaks of free will. I love the use of the word Ego vs. the traditional name Satan, dark side etc. It does not matter what it is called, just that it is in each of us and we have the power to choose the truth or the lies -ego. I have found peace and continue this journey not just for myself but for the sake of humanity. There is no wrong way to embark on this journey, intent is everything. For me it is a journey to the truth which is all I have ever wanted. For me it makes the seeming madness of this world clear.

This book is a unique and amazing thing...it's like nothing you've encountered before. It's in the metaphysical category and I laughlingly call it "Zen Christianity". This workbook with "daily" readings can be done on your own without classes, discussion groups or retreats (which I love to go to.) It can change your outlook on religion, spirituality and life. I have been delving into ACIM for years and recommend this book as well as the Text of A Course in Miracles the companion book on which the workbook is based. It's totally worth reading for scholars of religion, spirituality, and trraditional denominations. I'm a Ph.D. in Metaphysics and I believe this book gave me my start. Get it! This book is really an eye opener. I have learned (and continue working on me) in the area of self work and how I have changed my perspective of everything in life. I have obtained a more peaceful and realistic view of life, which has become much more calmer and more knowledgeable of myself. Great knowledge that last forever. Very awesome...!!

To read in conjunction with A Course in Miracle for best results.

Simple and therefore profound words of direction. You know the direction. Now is the time to pay attention to the first step. The only one that matters now. Not the one from the past we remember as the first. The one we take now.This book helps clarify this truth, your truth, our truth, universal truth.

It's an interesting path I've just started. Definitely want to read on

Second only to the Bible, these books provide a blueprint for how we must navigate our journey. It is not an easy read because it asks us to relinquish ego based, error thoughts and instead to replace those fear based thoughts with God Centered, Love based thoughts. It teaches a way of thinking and a way of living that truly creates Miracles.
