Got my Zebco 33s performing like new again.

I've used many different greases for my fishing equipment, this is by far the most water-resistant and smooth. Highly recommended for those bronze gears that will be used roughly.

I bought the 1 pound tub and forgot that one pound was a LOT of grease. If you're just doing a few reels a year, the 1 pounder should last a life time. I rebuilt 10 reels so far this year and it doesn't even look like I used the tub. The thing is that you always want to use as little as possible, just make sure all the parts that you are greasing are coated. Shimano on youtube had a great write-up on how to re-do reels. I've only been using it for a month and so far no complaints, all my reels work as if they were brand new, if not better. The grease doesn't wash off from water or anything like that. Make sure you buy LOTS of q-tips (I bought a 500 pack and used a good chunk). I also use denatured alcohol to clean my parts and use the Shimano Bantum oil to lube anything that has to be lubed.If you're just rebuilding a few of your own reels, the smaller tub should be more than enough. My reason for choosing this grease was mainly on the good reviews. When I opened the tub for the first time, it wasn't watery or anything like some greases can get. Which this is a good thing because you want the grease to hold together on all the parts so that it can do its job. The grease is blue in color. I haven't tried any other reel greases out there but I'm really happy with this stuff and will continue to use it.

Penn reel grease is what I used on some of my old penn fishing reels. New grease brought them all back to operation. Will be fishing them this summer.
