Yes, they have a curve, and that is what I bought them for .... pasta and salad. They are a good product. I am pleased with them.

Q: What material are these made of exactly?

I don't know what they're made of exactly: there is no material specification. They look to me like nylon fingers. I found them larger than I wanted. I was looking for salad servers convenient for a small salad for two. These are 3-1/2" wide which is too large for a small salad bowl. I rarely use them.

They are made of a very thick plastic that you can throw into your dishwasher. I use them daily.
