Q: I was of the assumption that Panang curry contained peanuts. How is this different than red curry?

Regular Red curry is spicier because it has more red chilies - Panang curry is also spicy but has fewer red chilies and is usually a bit sweeter. Panang is usually topped with peanuts but this paste does not contain them.

Q: What is its sodium percentage? Thanks!

Our Yellow Curry Paste is 21%, Red Curry Paste at 21%, Panang Curry Paste at 21% and our Green Curry Paste is also at 21%. You can find this information is on our nutrition labels. But please keep in mind that this relatively high number is misleading, because no one eats Curry Paste on its own. So, once you add your liquid, be it coconut milk or broth and you add your protein or veggies, that percentage is diluted. Hope this helps. -Chef Mike
