Q: Will this chest piece fit a 6’4” 245lb man?

I believe it will. However, it's heavy and the shoulder needs padding where the front and back meet. It digs into your shoulder from the weight.

Q: I'm 5'7" with a 40 in chest. How adjustable is this thing? Would it be too big to look good on me?

It might be too big. The front and back plates are metal so there is no flexibility on width and height. There are leather straps to tighten for the side. I will mention that the metal pieces dig into your shoulders at the top. There's no padding where the two pieces meet and it starts to hurt. I bought this for my boyfriend.
