Plastic, enclosed in a zip-top plastic bag. The bottles are sealed under the caps, but the plastic bag contained oil, which required dish detergent to remove from the bottles.

is it doesnt say bpa free its not. any oil or nut butters since they contain oil should not be stored in any type of plastic. The concern is that the oil helps the plasticizers (in the plastic jars and lids) leach into the oil, and along with all the other chemical residues and additives in the plastic, make for an incredibly toxic product. The plasticizers bond to the oil as a result of the packaging process. The consumer is then eating plastic… which is why any oil packaged in plastic is one of the most toxic foods you can purchase. besides PET plastic (polyethylene terephthalate) is the plastic most commonly used in single-use plastic water bottles. It is BPA free, but PET is also associated with many of the same health risks such as stunted growth, reproduction issues, low energy levels, body balance issues, and inability to process stess. found to break down overtime and leech. in addition this oil is clear in color which indicates it has been refined. mac nut oil should be yellowish/golden in color.

The macadamia nut originated and is grown in Australia, but commercial production in concentrated in Hawaii. Some countries in Latin America, Africa and Asia also grow macadamia nuts. In the continental United States, trees are found in California and Florida. I do not process or market this product, I just buy and use it. You should call the 888 number on the back of the packaging and ask the producer of the product.
